The Way I See It # 515

I have been sick for about a week now, and I am so done with it. I still have a sore throat, I had a coughing fit at the movies last night, and I'm just over being "Typhoid Mary"

I'm getting used to my new bangs, and I'm always staring up at them, this could be the reason for a head ache all day.

I woke up to snow flurries. This made me frown. I just want summer to be here, I can't even stand it.

I feel like this blog should be formatted into a list like The Engaging Prospectus, I feel like that might be more efficient, but I wouldn't want to cramp Lena's style.

Today I did some much needed redecorating with Christina and Jackie (mis hermanas). We did a really good job! I'm actually really impressed. Our Family room now looks better than it ever has, and we even bought some plants (orchids!) to brighten up the room. If I had a stamp of approval, I would.... stamp.... all over this room.

As for tonight I'm going to Johnny's, the restaurant where my sister works, with Mom, Jackie, and Christina for a big family dinner, and then hopefully head over to a bon fire later tonight.

OH.
I got a 100% on my huge Archaeology exam! SCORE.

The Way I See It # 479

I've got a new plan of action and I'm excited about it.
Mom came to Richmond today to spend the day with me. It was nice going to Short Pump and walking around. We did a lot of catching up, and it seems like the past few days have been entirely too busy for the both of us. I think I'll need some time to reflect on things.

Speaking of Shortpump I bought some nail polish (big spender over here), and I'm digging them a lot. I'm wearing a dark blue right now (inspired by Chanel's winter line), and I also bought a gold-ish color for spring. I'm thinking of combining the two. I'll have to save that for another day, perhaps.

It feels like everyone is going to Tech next weekend! I hope everyone has fun, I don't think I'll be visiting any time soon. Although a trip to UVA may be in the works.

My Archaeology Professor told me about a dig opportunity in Henrico county with the Archaeological Society of Virginia, which I'm seriously considering. It's over Spring Break and can count towards my School of World Studies Passport. The site is a "contact site"; a place when Europeans and Native Americans encountered eachother, it sounds so cool. Also, Chief Powhatan might have frequently stayed at the site as well.

Alright, I'm tired from walking around all day. 8 AM yoga tomorrow!

The Way I See It # 425

Secret # 1: I never asked anyone for a ride back to VCU (not that anyone offered) because I thought it would be nice for Mom and I to have time in the car together.

Tonight she asked me why I couldn't get a ride back and I fumbled with an answer. I think she was a bit annoyed that she had to drive me back. She wasn't unwilling, but I think driving me back wasn't at the top of her to-do list for tomorrow.
Am I selfish? I know she's tired, and I know she works a lot. She worked all weekend on preparing for Thanksgiving, put up with Dad, dealt with Grandma, and all of us.

I wish things were like they were when Mom wasn't working.
I think I might be bitter about this.

I've decided to not work at Restoration Hardware this winter. I didn't realize that Jackie would be home without a car... and if Christina and Kara get jobs too, it's going to be a nightmare.
So instead, I'll be working for my Dad's company.
I think I might regret this. However, he says there is research he needs done, and also filing, so I'm down for doing secretarial work if it keeps me the hell away from Tysons. I would like to enjoy shopping on my winter break, thank you very much.

The Way I See It # 343

I'm not going to update on how I'm doing. I will say, however, that I'm doing ok, and that's all I'll say.

Yesterday I spent the day with my mom and we went to short pump. It was nice, and the weather was gorgeous. I'm glad she came down, I really miss her. Hopefully I'll be able to visit christina within the next month or so because she really wants me to visit the Burg. I'm excited to meet her friends and see the Russian House where she's living. Does VCU have language dorms? That would be sweet.

After Mom left I caught up with Sara and we watch the trainwreck that was the VMAs (What the fuck was that?) After that I came home and talked to Abby on the phone until almost 2 in the morning. I really miss her. I'm glad we could talk, but we got disconected at the end. I did all of my homework, and then I made a new blog.

http://interior-motive.blogspot.com

it's a blog for me to post pictures of the things I love. I dont think guys will like it, but it's mostly for myself and another way to keep busy.

I have French today, Physics, and Linguistics. I have to finish my readings before linguistics.
I have to get ready for the day!

The Way I See It # 297

So that nibble turned into a failed attempt at fishing. The woman interested in buying my drum set backed out this morning with, as she put it, "Cold Feet". I did get a not-so-sketchy post on facebook for the set, so I hope that works out. I really hope that works out. I could use $300 dollars pretty badly.

Today I should be hanging out with Sid and Julia but I haven't heard any word, so I don't know. My room is a mess and I need to clean it, otherwise I'm going to nuts. I also need to take out the trash before mom sees it. She would flip. She's going up to Hartford with Jackie on saturday to look at apartments. So that leaves the "trips" with Dad. What a great/fantastic day. Maybe I'll grow a pair and tell him that I can't stand being around him. But I probably won't.

I should go and start cleaning, otherwise I'll never do it.
